Osarobo Osaghae Declares for Oredo Chairmanship... Vows to Deliver Inclusive, Transparent Leadership
A leading member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mr. Osarobo Osaghae, has declared his intention to contest the chairmanship of Oredo Local Government Council, promising to offer inclusive, transparent, and people-driven leadership that will transform the council area.
Popularly known as OSB, Osaghae said his aspiration is driven by a deep passion for grassroots development and a mission to restore hope and trust in local governance.
Speaking shortly after making his intention public, Osaghae said his agenda for Oredo is anchored on unity, youth and women empowerment, and infrastructural renewal that reflects the collective aspirations of the people.
"My goal is to rekindle hope and set a new standard for leadership that truly serves the people,” he said. “Oredo deserves a government that listens, includes, and delivers results.”
He emphasized that his ambition is not just about winning an election but about redefining the essence of service at the grassroots, pledging to ensure transparent governance and equitable distribution of development across all wards in the council.
According to him, “We will not abandon our people. We will bring governance closer to them and ensure that opportunities reach every household in Oredo. A new Oredo is possible.”
Born on January 17, 1982, into the family of the late Pa Joseph Osatohanmwen Osaghae and Mrs. Patience Osaghae, Osarobo began his early education at Mercy Nursery School and later attended Esigie Primary School, where he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate.
He proceeded to Sakponba Secondary School, where he completed his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
He later gained admission into the University of Benin, where he studied Chemistry and graduated with Second Class Honours.
During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Abia State, he distinguished himself in service and received a recommendation letter from the state government.
In pursuit of deeper knowledge and leadership competence, he returned to the University of Benin to earn a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
A politician, businessman, billboard practitioner, and philanthropist, Osaghae is widely admired for his integrity, compassion, and commitment to community development.
Through various empowerment initiatives, he has supported youths and women in Oredo and beyond.
He is happily married with children and credits his family’s unwavering support as a major source of strength and inspiration.
Osaghae said his vision is to rebuild Oredo into a model local government area where progress is visible and governance is participatory.
"Our people deserve modern amenities befitting a 21st-century local government,” he said.
"We will promote infrastructural growth, uphold our cultural heritage, and make Oredo a shining example of purposeful leadership.”
He called on party faithful, supporters, and residents of Oredo to support his aspiration, assuring that he will remain accountable and committed to the ideals of good governance.
This is not about politics as usual,” he stressed. “It is about service, transformation, and results. Together, we can make Oredo thrive again.”
