Labour Party inaugurates 3 LG executives in Edo

The Chairman of the Labour Party in Edo State, Hon. Elizabeth Ativie, on Thursday inaugurated the executives of Ikpoba-Okha, Egor, and Ovia North-East local government areas at the party’s state office in Ogbelaka Street, Benin City.

This brings the number of inaugurated local government executives to four, following the inauguration of Oredo executives on Tuesday. Hon. Ativie stated that the process is expected to be completed within two weeks.

During the inauguration of the Oredo executives, Ativie described the exercise as a prelude to the party’s ward congress scheduled for February 2025 and the local government congress slated for April 2025.

She urged the newly inaugurated executives to embark on mass mobilization to help the party achieve its 20-million-member target set by the National Chairman, Julius Abure, and the Central Working Committee.

Ativie also encouraged the executives to welcome returnee members, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging within the party.

According to her, the Labour Party remains the most sought-after political platform in Nigeria. She urged members to work tirelessly to elevate the party to greater heights.
