Edo 2024: Obaseki Backs Ighodalo, Ogie to Continue His Legacy


Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has endorsed the candidacy of Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie for the upcoming 2024 gubernatorial election, expressing strong confidence in their ability to carry forward the achievements of his administration.

During recent campaign rallies in Ehor and Abudu, Obaseki highlighted the strides made in education, security, and infrastructure under his leadership. 

He emphasized that while his administration laid a solid foundation, there remains more work to be done, which he believes Ighodalo and Ogie are well-equipped to handle.

Obaseki praised his administration's accomplishments, including the revitalization of the Esigie Teacher Training College and significant investments in Orhionmwon, which he described as the state's luckiest and richest Local Government Area.

He reassured supporters that Ighodalo and Ogie possess the capacity to expand upon these successes.

Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, committed to continuing Obaseki's legacy, expressing gratitude for the support from the people of Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode. 

He urged voters to remain steadfast, resist intimidation, and ensure their votes count in the upcoming election.
