Award-Winning Film Iyeoba Set to Premiere, Tackles Cultural Biases

The family feature film Iyeoba is poised to make waves as it tackles cultural biases that often lead to conflicts within communities. 

The award-winning movie, recognized in Europe, underscores the importance of cultural identity and the preservation of community artifacts.

Distributed worldwide by Kada Film Entertainment, Iyeoba boasts an international cast featuring stars from America, Europe, and Nigeria. 

Notable Nigerian actors include Alex Usifo, Nosa Rex, Ngozi Ezeonu, Ofia Mbaka, Henry Legema, and Benjamin Olaye.

Directed by the renowned filmmaker Dr. Henry Emeka Obidi, the film is rated 15 by the Nigeria Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB). 

It will have its official premiere on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Kada Cinema, Sapele Road, Benin City, starting at 4 PM.
 
The nationwide release is scheduled for September 27, 2024, in cinemas across Nigeria.

Nigeria and Africa must return to the use of clay vessels for cooking, eating and drinking if the continent is to tackle rising public health challenges and reduce billions spent on disease treatment, a university don has said. Delivering the 134th Inaugural Lecture of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Professor Emmanuel Eghe Egbon, a scholar of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, urged Nigerians to embrace clay as a multifunctional earth material that promotes healthier living and sustainable communities.
