Edo North United Behind APC’s Monday Okpebholo for Edo Governorship Election - Minister Momoh

The Minister of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Abubakar Momoh, has announced that the people of Edo North Senatorial District have collectively agreed to vote for Monday Okpebholo of the APC in the September 21, 2024 Edo governorship election.

Momoh made this statement in Ekpon, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, during a ward-to-ward campaign conducted by the APC.

He emphasized that if Edo North and Edo South have agreed to support the APC candidate, there is no reason for Edo Central, which produced the candidate, not to do the same.

Senator Okpebholo expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the upcoming election, stating that Edo State is not for sale.

He accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of attempting to hand over the state to his business partner, Asue Ighodalo, by supporting him as the PDP candidate.

Okpebholo promised to empower women and youths and create an environment conducive to the growth of small and medium-scale businesses.

He also pledged to establish Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the 192 wards of the state and to support the health workers who would staff these centers.

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole also spoke during the campaign, warning that a vote for Asue Ighodalo of the PDP would effectively extend Obaseki's rule, leading to continued hardship for Edo citizens.

He urged voters to support the APC for positive change.

Hon. Odianosen Okojie, the Coordinator of the APC campaign council in Edo Central Senatorial District, called on party supporters to turn out en-masse on September 21 to vote for the APC, assurinh voters that, once elected, Okpebholo would deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo.

In addition, Okpebholo, accompanied by Oshiomhole, Ize-Iyamu, Matthew Urhoghide, and other campaign members, commissioned a borehole donated by the APC governorship candidate to the Iruekpen community in Edo Central Senatorial District.
