Igbobi cautions against unwholesome activities in community

The elders and leaders Of lgbobi community in Upper Ekenwan Road, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State have urged members of the public to disregard the unwholesome activities of some persons who are trying to put the community in a bad light. 

In a statement in Benin City, the Odionwere (community head) of Igbobi, Chief Peter Ugiagbe cautioned those trying to forment trouble in the peaceful community to exercise restrain and tow the path of peace. 

He appealed to one Pastor Festus Osayemwenre Egharevba, an indigene of Obazuwa village to concentrate on the activities of his village and allow Igbobi community to continue with its daily activities.  

The Odionwere also noted that the four persons from the community who were recently released from police detention were vindicated

He commended the police in Edo state for carrying out thorough investigation where those arrested were cleared of any wrong.

The statement reminded the public that Ozumu is a shrine in the area under Igbobi and not a community.
