Asue Ighodalo 'll bring devt, accountability to governance in Edo, says Iduoriyekemwen

The Director General of Ighodalo/Ogie Campaign Organization, Mr. Mathew Idioriyekemwen has said that the Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Asue Ighodalo will bring development, accountability and transparency to governance when elected governor of Edo State in the September 21, 2024 governorship election.

Iduoriyekemewn stated this when he visited the Press Centre of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council to unveil the media team of the campaign organisation.

He noted that the state experienced unprecedented progress when PDP was in power, both at the state and  at the national levels

According to him, the present Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki is building a strong foundation for his successor, Mr Asue Ighodalo

He said that the restructuring of the state civil and public service as well as the construction of roads across the state are due to the sound vision of the Governor Obaseki's led administration.

Mr. Idioriekemwen said that the PDP is not disturbed by some false news peddled by social media handlers, describing them as handiwork  of mischief makers who are paid to feed the public with fake information in order to discredit the hard earned integrity of PDP.

He however cautioned them to desist from spreading unfounded information that would lead them to litigations, stressing that the PDP is focused and would emerge victorious in the forthcoming governorship election in the State.

The DG dismissed fears in the PDP camp over defection by some notable members of the party, noting that the PDP is also receiving members of APC and other political parties into their fold on a daily basis.

According to him, the PDP would only admit into its fold, only those who can add value to it

He however appealed to Edo people to be resilient in their belief and choose wisely to secure their future and the integrity of Edo State.
