Edo NUJ congratulates Agbama on appointment as Perm Sec

BENIN CITY - The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council has sent a message of congratulations to Dr. Desmond Agbama on his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Edo State civil service.

In a statement signed by Festus Alenkhe and Andy Egbon, Chairman and Secretary of NUJ respectively, the union noted that Agbama's appointment is a testimony of his diligence and hard work in contributing to the Make Edo Great Again (MEGA) agenda of the Godwin Obaseki led Edo State government.

According to the statement, the union is indeed proud and happy to identify with him on the positive development.

As a former Chairman of the council, the union expressed optistimism that the experiences Agbama garnered over the years would be brought to bear in his new assignment, describing his posting to the Ministry of Communication and Orientation as a well deserved.                                       The statement also commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for finding a notable journalist worthy of the appointment.

Return to clay vessels 'll save Nigeria billions in healthcare - Don

Nigeria and Africa must return to the use of clay vessels for cooking, eating and drinking if the continent is to tackle rising public health challenges and reduce billions spent on disease treatment, a university don has said. Delivering the 134th Inaugural Lecture of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Professor Emmanuel Eghe Egbon, a scholar of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, urged Nigerians to embrace clay as a multifunctional earth material that promotes healthier living and sustainable communities.
